Flushing DNS is very important so we will start with it and the command: ifconfig /flushdns
It looks like this.
After all this is completed lets do some ping test and troubleshooting.
The commands above are:
1. ping google.com
2. ping 8.8.8.8
3. tracert 8.8.8.8

Also let's have a short discussion about vpn traffic and latency.. WIth most VPN providers you can expect at least a 20 to 30 ms latency between you and the outside world.. When looking for a vpn provider you should ensure it is either using port 80 or 443 not the default 1194 port which can easily be blocked by most system admins. Also I like to use tcp rather then UDP for my vpn servers.
