Hard to say, i started playing back in 1.3, i didn't start playing competitive til source so i would say source for me.

Yeah i mean i was a pubber in 1.5, 1.6 and beginning of source. I always hated getting spammed and didn't know how to do any of that so source catered more towards me.

I started out with 1.6 back in 2011 on my cousins acc. I enjoyed the game, but there were rare instances I got to play it until I got my own PC. I did play source a little bit back in 2016-2017, but I found it to be too easy since you could run and gun with basically any weapon (especially the deagle). So yeah, 1.6 has gotta be for me.

My dad got me into CS mid-2011 and he preferred Source I guess I kinda followed his lead.

Source never really became a thing back in Sweden so I'd have to say 1.6 (and prior versions)
