Does !rank matter for anything?

I've been trying to get me !rank out of 24000 to be under 20. So recently I've been getting triggered because of it. Does being the top out of 24000 matter on the server? Cause I've got so mad easily when I died or lost. When I tried to get it higher, I played like shit but when I didn't give a crap I played like normal. Which 20-30 frags every game.
